Microsoft fixes Windows 10 BSOD crashes caused by NVMe SSDs

Microsoft has fixed a known issue causing Windows 10 blue screens of death (BSOD) crashes when users plugged in a Thunderbolt NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) Solid State Drive (SSD) Microsoft also added a compatibility hold to prevent impacted devices from being offered Windows 10, version 2004 or Windows 10 version 20H2 upgrades. The safeguard hold added to block upgrades on affected Intel drivers will be removed in mid-December. Microsoft is also working on a fix for an issue causing multiple Windows 10 apps including Outlook to forget users’ passwords after upgrades.
