Microsoft released a new Chromium-based Edge browser for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. The features and experience are pretty much the same as on Windows 10. Microsoft initially begins to roll out the new channel release in April for the first Dev and Canary channel builds of the next version of Microsoft Edge which is based on Chromium open source project.
