Microsoft Confirms Windows 10 KB4524244 Issues and Pulls the Update

Microsoft pulls the standalone KB4524244 security update from Windows Update today. The update was released on February 11 and can cause freezes, boot problems, and installation issues. Microsoft says an improved version of the update is in the works and will be released in the future. A workaround is available to uninstall the update and get rid of the problems, Microsoft also provides a detailed tutorial on how to uninstall it from the command prompt or at boot using the Advanced Options feature. The issue affects Windows 10 and Windows Server devices where it was installed.
