Microsoft Autoruns is crashing when listing Windows 10 startups

A recent update to Microsoft’s Autoruns program is causing the program to crash as its scans for autostarts in Windows. Users report that the program crashes soon after it starts and enumerates the programs that automatically start on a Windows machine. Microsoft has released a fix to fix the crashes, but on Windows 7 it works properly and does not crash, so this appears to be a conflict with Windows 10. BleepingComputer has reached out to Microsoft to see if they know about the problems and when a fix will be released.
