A fresh look at the hacking tool Metasploit reveals the 15-year old hacking tool still has tricks up its sleeves. Hackers are still using the tool and a highly effective technique called Shikata Ga Nai (Japanese for nothing can be done ) to slip past modern day endpoint protections. The tool was created in 2003 by network security expert (and hacker) H D Moore and acquired by Rapid7 in 2009. FireEye researchers Steve Miller, Evan Reese and Nick Carr posted Monday.
