Rapid7 has updated its widely used open-source Metasploit exploitation framework. The new version features 36 new exploits, 27 new post-exploitation modules and 12 auxiliary modules. The software package now hosts a total of 716 exploit modules, 361 auxiliary modules and 68 post-exercises modules. Rapid7 acquired the software from H.D. Moore, who created the framework in 2009, who first created it in 2009. It’s the first major update in more than five years for the software since version 3.7.1.”]
