The company says a yet to be identified attacker (or attackers) gained access to the infrastructure hosting its website. The website is used to allow customers to download research specific to their contracts. There is no evidence that confidential client data, financial information, or confidential employee data was accessed or exposed as part of the incident. The information could then be resold on dark markets or hackers could also use it to select future targets.
