Marc Maiffret at RSA 2010

Dennis Fisher talks with Marc Maiffret of FireEye at RSA Conference 2010 about the lack of sophistication in the Aurora attack and the state of malware attacks on the Web. Researchers have spotted notable code overlap between the Sunburst backdoor and a known Turla weapon. Researchers at Recorded Future report a rise in cracked Cobalt Strike and other open-source adversarial tools with easy-to-use interfaces. The Aurora attack is the latest example of a growing trend in Web-based malware attacks.
