Malwarebytes Users Battle Botched Protections Update

Malwarebytes issues guidance for consumer users, cloud-based product corporate users. Security software company issues guidance on consumer users and recommendations for on-premises and cloud users. Windows systems experience “out of memory” errors, high memory usage and crashing. Malwarebyte says the root cause of the issue was a malformed protection update that the client couldn’t process correctly. The company says four of its products were affected. The software company has apologized for the bungled update, saying it will work to ensure that this does not happen again.”]
