Malware-spiked adverts hit Star Tribune website

The Star Tribune, the largest newspaper in the state of Minnesota, was hit by malicious adverts. Users reported seeing fake anti-virus alerts as they read their daily fix of news. Users were told that their computers had a security problem and urged to pay for a fix. Last September the New York Times was hit with a similar case of malvertising, and in the past a wide variety of media outlets have been hit by similar attacks. The New York City Times was also hit by a similar attack last September.”]
