Mac developer slides in crypto-miner in exchange for premium features, Apple doesn”t mind”

Calendar 2 has been updated to a new version that doesnt include the miner. The miner kept running even when users opted out, and in some cases caused 200% CPU loads. The developer apologized for causing users distress and said he should “get out of the “mining business” The miner has since been removed from the Mac version of the app, which doesnt have a feature that can generate crypto-currency in the background of users computers.
