Hackers discovered email vulnerability in UK Sun’s “contact us” section. Then discovered a retired server that gave them access to the Sun’s email database. Hacker then ran a “local file inclusion” program to gain control of the server. That gave them extensive control over it and access to News Corp’s content management system. News Corp is left to pick up the pieces after the primetime hack of the UK Sun went down on Monday night. News of the hack went public, with redirects to fake Murdoch death story and Twitter redirects.”]
