Lucifer Botnet can now target Linux-based systems, according to Netscout researchers. The botnet has been infecting Windows devices with cryptominers and using denial-of-service attacks. The updated version of the Lucifer botnet now also plants Mimikatz, a script used to steal credentials and escalate privileges within compromised Windows devices.
