Apple is releasing a low-cost iPad for $1,000. It is the first time since 2012 that the company has released a device specifically designed for the purpose of the MacBook Air. The new device is expected to be released in the next few months. Apple has been losing market share as Google and Microsoft release cheap 2-1 laptops and Chromebooks to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro will be available in stores in the U.S. and Europe this week.
