LinkedIn: Hashed Passwords Breached; nearly 6.5 million may have been compromised. LinkedIn has not yet confirmed how many passwords were affected. The social network, which has about 150 million users, says it is continuing to investigate the hack. Security analyst Julie McNelley says a potential breach of LinkedIn’s e-mail addresses could be bigger than the April 1, 2011, hack-in-a-year-old hack of LinkedIn.
