Less than 10% of Gmail Users Employ Two-Factor Authentication

Google’s Grzegorz Milka says only 10% of Gmail accounts are using 2FA. He says convenience is the reason for not making 2FA mandatory for Gmail accounts. 2FA was rolled out in 2011, but Google has not made it mandatory for account holders. Milka: “It’s about how many people would we drive out if we force them to use additional security” Google: “We don’t want to force [users] to use [2FA] because they don’t like it””]
