KRACK: Researcher discovers flaws in WPA2 authentication

A researcher has released details on vulnerabilities in the Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) protocol. Mathy Vanhoef, a researcher studying at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, has released a paper detailing the KRACK vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities are protocol-level issues, and most or all correct implementations of the WPA2 standard will be affected. The main attack is against the 4-way handshake, so it’s going after the client not access points.”]
