Kaspersky: Malware found Hiding in CamScanner App Contained Dropper’ Attack Code, Researchers Say. Malware hiding in advertising within a recent version of the popular app for Android smartphones. The company sells advertising within the app to generate revenue, Kaspersy researchers say. The app, which enables mobile devices to be used as document scanners, has been downloaded more than 100 million times by users through the Google Play store. The Trojan malware, called AndroidOS.Necro.n, is a type of attack code that initially infects a computer or smartphone.”]
