IT and security management services company Kaseya says it’s been hit by a supply chain attack. About 40 customers worldwide have been affected by an update for its IT management software. The company says it has identified the source of the vulnerability and is readying a patch to mitigate the issues. About 200 businesses that are served by these MSPs have been locked out of parts of their network, researchers say. The attack chain also involves attempts to disable Microsoft Defender Real-Time Monitoring via PowerShell.
