Judge Rules Insurer Must Pay for Ransomware Damage

A federal judge ruled that an insurer must pay for cybersecurity damages. National Ink & Stitch suffered a ransomware attack in 2016 and was forced to replace most of its IT infrastructure. The ruling did not set a specific dollar figure, although the company previously argued for a settlement of $310,000.”]
