Jailed ChronoPay Co-Founder Denied Bail Krebs on Security

Pavel Vrublevsky, 32, is accused of hiring hackers to launch costly cyber attacks against his rivals. He was arrested in June after Russian investigators secured the confession of a man who said he was hired by him to launch a debilitating cyber attack against a top ChronoPay competitor. He reportedly wanted to sideline rival payment processing firms competing for a lucrative contract to process payments for Aeroflot, Russias largest airline. He faces punishment under two articles of the Russian criminal code illegal access to computer information and the creation of harmful computer programs.”]
