IRS Will Soon Require Selfies for Online Access

Internal Revenue Service accounts will cease to work later this year. By 2022, the only way to log in to irs.gov will be through ID.me, an online identity verification service. The service requires users to submit photos and video of their faces via a mobile device. The IRS says the ID verification service will be available by the summer of 2022, starting at the end of the year. For more information, go to the IRS.gov.com/rollrollroll.org.”]
