Iranian Hacking Group Again Targets Universities

‘Silent Librarian’ hacking group targets universities in the U.S. and around the world, Malwarebytes researchers say. The group’s activities have been sanctioned by the Iranian government to raise money for the regime as well as science and technology. Group has targeted over 140 universities since it resumed its operations in September, the report says. Group uses Cloudflare to hide the phishing sites’ real hosting site, which is now hosted in Iran, according to the report. Group’s activities, which began in 2013, usually start in September to coincide with new school year.”]
