Immigrant identity thief and ICE lawyer gets four years

Raphael A. Sanchez, 44, admitted to defrauding people in the middle of being deported by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He used information from the agency’s ‘A-Files’ to take out credit cards, loans and other accounts. He also used a photo of a woman who had been published in the press to create fake IDs. He was sentenced to four years in prison in February and will have to pay back $190,000 to his victims. He pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.”]
