Hacker stole credit card details of over 800 members of the IEEE last December. IEEE had no proof that the exposed credit cards had been used to make fraudulant transactions. IEEE: “Vulnerabilities in the system” were discovered, but no evidence of fraud. IEEE says it has no proof of using the exposed cards to make fraudulent transactions. The IEEE is a member of the National Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in New Hampshire, N.H., says it is investigating the incident.
