ID Theft Case: Experian Faces Lawsuit

A lawsuit seeking class-action status filed against information services firm Experian alleges the company failed to detect that a customer of its data aggregator unit was a fraudster. The lawsuit against Experian was filed July 17. The Department of Justice announced that Hieu Minh Ngo had been sentenced to 13 years in prison for selling to other cybercriminals fraudulently obtained PII.
