Researchers at Google and Stanford analyzed a 1.2 billion malicious emails to find out who has the highest risk of being targeted. Australians, Australians, older folks and those who use both desktops and mobile devices are at highest risk. 2FA wasn t a big factor, the researchers found. The United States is the most popular country for attackers in terms of sheer numbers, perhaps unsurprisingly. However, the report reveals that Gmail users in Australia actually face twice the odds of being attacked versus Americans.
