Hundreds of apps removed from Google Play store because were carrying Windows malware

Google removed 145 apps from Google Play store because they were carrying a Windows malware. Malware was embedded in most of the apps uploaded between October and November 2017. The malicious code included in the code of the app was developed to compromised Windows systems and leverage the Android device as an attack vector. Researchers discovered that one of malware was included in 142 apps, a second malicious code was found in 21 APKs. Not all the same developers were infected with the malicious files, likely because of using different development platform for the apps.”]
