Facebook, Google Manipulate Users to Share Personal Data Despite GDPR

Norwegian Consumer Council releases 44-page report on Google and Facebook. Accuses them of using “dark patterns”” user interface elements to “”nudge”” users towards accepting privacy options. Report also found that Facebook and Google threaten users with loss of service if they don’t choose privacy-intrusive default settings. Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system also has “”privacy by default”” settings. If found guilty
