Google Chrome development team is working on making changes to Chrome Extensions platform. Proposed changes would end the functionality of ad-blockers like uBlock Origin and uMatrix. Developer Raymond Hill says that phasing out ‘webRequest’ API in favor of ‘declarativeNetRequest’ would mean the death of his popular extension for filtering web content.
