macOS App Can Detect Evil Maid Attacks

Former NSA hacker Patrick Wardle has released an app called Do Not Disturb that can detect “evil maid”” attacks. The app detects “”lid open”” events and sends alerts to remote Apple devices. Wardle’s iOS companion app is available via the Apple App Store. Future plans for the app’s development include adding support for more than “”Evil maid attacks”” that do not require opening the laptop’s lid to hack and steal data from a device
