President Obama tapped Howard Schmidt to be cybersecurity coordinator a year ago Tuesday. Schmidt remains optimistic despite a year’s worth of cyber attacks against well-protected targets, including Stuxnet and WikiLeaks. Schmidt equates those revenge attacks as the online version of street protests that shut down traffic, with a minimal, long-term impact.
