Microsoft Edge users can prevent the web browser from launching automatically after they log into their Windows account by tweaking the system’s Sign-in setting for automatically restarting apps on logon. Microsoft announced in early-June that the Chromium-based Edge web browser started rolling out automatically via Windows Update to all customers with devices running Windows 10 1803 or later. Microsoft also said that user data from earlier Edge versions will be automatically migrated to the new version of the browser and it cannot be removed once installed.
