How to Beat Keyloggers

NIST scientists offer tips on how to protect commercial and consumer computers from keylogger infection. Keyloggers monitor and record keyboard use, including the information typed into a system. Some keystroke loggers require the attacker to retrieve the data from the system, whereas others actively transfer the data to another system. The mutating nature of malware is such that anti-virus signatures can’t keep up with the threat even by the hour, says NIST’s Tim Grance.
