How the world’s largest cyberattack slows down your Internet use

Spamhaus, a European spam filter, was hit by the largest global DDoS attack in history. DDoS attacks have reached 300Gbps, the scale of which could take down a normal website. CyberBunker’s Sven Olaf Kamphuis is reportedly taking credit for the large-scale attack, according to reports. Security firm Kaspersky Lab says attacks of this kind are escalating in scale and frequency, which is bad news for Web-surfers.
