Hetzner cloud server provider bans cryptocurrency mining

German cloud hosting company Hetzner has banned cryptomining on its servers. Users have been using their large storage devices to mine Chia, a popular cryptocurrency to mine. Chia is currently valued at $1,000 and recently as high as $2,645.12. Hetzners has banned all mining on their cloud servers, hosting services, and storage boxes. The company is concerned that Chia mining will damage their hard-disk drives due to heavy use, causing them to break.
