Here Are 306 Million Passwords You Should Never Use

Security expert Troy Hunt has a massive trove of usernames and passwords from dozens of data breaches. Hunt is making available SHA1 hashes for 306 million unique passwords he’s collected. Service providers can use the data in their back-end systems with the aim of improving password security. The data comes from rich sources, including the Exploit.in and Anti-Public lists. Hunt doesn’t let people see the password that was used for the particular compromised service. He also doesn’t allow people to see passwords or passwords en masse, for security reasons.”]
