Cyber Aptitude and Talent Assessment (CATA) is the first such commercially available solution that is scientifically designed to identify the natural cognitive abilities of individuals entering or upskilling in cybersecurity. Until now, such assessments (including Haystack’s core product) were available only within military and federal intelligence-focused organizations. CATA focuses on five key cerebral dimensions: critical thinking, deliberate action, real-time action, deliberate thinking, and reactive thinking. It includes a series of tests designed to measure cognitive abilities and map natural aptitude within four domains.
