Has Facebook violated its 2011 Federal Trade Commission settlement?

The top six privacy groups in the US sent a joint letter to politicians and regulators asking for some of Facebook’s proposed changes to its policies to be blocked. The letter claims that Facebooks proposed changes violate a 2011 privacy agreement with the FTC. Facebook issued proposed changes last week as part of an agreement that was made in a class-action class-settlement of a lawsuit against the company. The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse claims that the changes violate the 2011 agreement that Facebook agreed to change its data use policy.”]
