Rapidity Networks’ Hajime botnet has been gaining considerable IoT market share for the last six months. Hajime uses a trackerless torrent on top of the well-known public BitTorrent peer-to-peer network using dynamic info_hashes that change on a daily basis. No attacks have been attributed to Hajime and it doesnt carry a payload to do so, but it is sophisticated, well designed and flexible enough to be repurposed in the blink of an eye.
