Hackers Steal Data on 14 Million Users From Ride-Hail App Careem

Hackers stole data belonging to 14 million Careem riders and drivers. The data includes customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and trip history. Careem is Ubers largest competitor in the Middle East, Bloomberg reports. The ride-hail startup has been in talks to launch an initial public offering in the U.S. Careem recommends that its users change their passwords anyway, especially if they used their Careem password on other websites. The company also advises users to watch their bank statements for signs of fraud or suspicious activity.”]
