Hackers Roamed Around JPMorgan Chase’s Financial Records for 2 Months

The New York Times revealed the length of the JPMorgan Chase hack. Hackers broke into the bank’s servers for two months. The bank says it doesn’t think a third party compromised its systems this time around. The paper says it’s not uncommon for hackers to rummage through a big company’s network for several months before being detected. The Times itself was hacked for four straight months, but that doesn’t make the details from the JPMorgan hack any less unsettling, though. The banks like it are “too big to secure,” in part because so many third party relationships are potential security vulnerabilities.”]
