SophosLabs has discovered a number of webpages deliberately constructed by cybercriminals. The webpages were created to target computer users who search for information on the California wildfires. The fires are currently burning in various areas across California, with the largest fire (known as the Station Fire), burning just north of Los Angeles. By using search engine optimisation techniques, hackers can target PCs with the intention of striking PCs belonging to computer users. The latest round of news stories has been highlighted in the Naked Security blog.”]
