A hacker has posted a video of Ice Cream Sandwich running on the Kindle Fire. The hack is incomplete, lacking support for audio, Wi-Fi, the accelerometer and the light sensor. The hacker plans to start an open source project for the device. Amazon has only put up a small fight to Kindle Fire hacking, even though the company reportedly loses money on every tablet sold. The latest software update removes root access, but doesn’t prevent users from re-rooting their devices. Users who have installed a completely different ROM won’t have to worry about updates from Amazon anyway.”]
