A targeted advertising vendor being used by several U.S. broadband providers uses man-in-the-middle attacks, report says. Public Knowledge and Free Press say NebuAd exploits several forms of “attack” on users’ security. Charter Communications, WideOpenWest and other Internet service providers used the vendor. Charter says it’s working with concerned lawmakers to address concerns about the targeted ad service. The company calls the report “misleading” and “inaccurate statements” about its privacy standards.”]
