GOP Proposal: $53 Million for COVID-19 Research Security

GOP proposes to allocate $53 million to U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to combat hackers targeting virus vaccine research. Funding request is a significant jump from $9.1 million granted to CISA under the $2.2 trillion CARES Act. CISA Director Christopher Krebs says critical infrastructure remains susceptible to cyberthreats.
