Google Wallet Suspends Prepaid Credit Card Functions

Google suspends prepaid capabilities on credit cards linked to its mobile wallet. The move comes after a security flaw in the wallet’s design was exposed last week. The flaw could allow an unauthorized user of a phone to tap into an existing balance on a card by reconfiguring wallet’s settings. The vulnerability is in the design of the wallet, not in the NFC payment system behind it. The flaws require an unauthorized party to get physical access to a mobile phone to exploit it, but they can be foiled through the screen lock feature.”]
