Missouri AG Josh Hawley issued a subpoena to Google seeking information on the search giant’s business practices. The subpoena is the first step of an antitrust investigation his Office has started against Google. Google escaped an antitrust probe in the US unscathed in 2013 when an FTC investigation found the company not guilty of any search bias and other monopolistic practices. Google already fined in the EU for the same thing in June this year for abusing its dominant market position and tweaking search results to favor its Google Shopping service to the detriment of its direct competitors.
