Google brings the Advanced Protection Program to Nest devices

Google announced today that they are bringing their Advanced Protection Program to Nest devices. The program provides enhanced protection against Google account phishing attacks, data theft, malicious apps. To enroll in the program, users will need two security keys, such as a Google Titan key or other FIDO-based security keys. Users can enroll their Google Account and still be able to use it to manage their Nest devices with the program on the Nest devices, Google states. The Advanced Protection program is aimed at high-risk targets such as journalists, activists, business leaders, and political teams.
