GAO: Census Bureau Comes Up Short on Cybersecurity

The U.S. Census Bureau has not done enough to address cybersecurity issues in preparation for the 2020 census, a new report from the Government Accountability Office says. The census could be susceptible to phishing, disinformation and other cyberthreats, the GAO report finds. The 2020 census is scheduled to use an online survey option for the first time this year.
